CCC Intelligent Solutions Inc. launched CCC® Build Sheets, a new solution designed to streamline the vehicle repair process. Integrated directly into CCC ONE®, the Build Sheets provide collision repairers with detailed vehicle specifications based on the VIN, helping them write more complete estimates the first time and better understand the parts needed for the repair.
"By integrating comprehensive vehicle information directly into CCC ONE, we're helping repairers access information faster, improve efficiency and enhance overall shop productivity," said Mark Fincher, vice president of product management, automotive services at CCC.
The CCC Build Sheets deliver detailed vehicle information from leading OEMs and third-party providers. This includes specifics about the vehicle as it was manufactured, such as vehicle packages, paint codes and specific parts options. When a VIN is decoded in CCC ONE, vehicle options and estimate prompts are automatically provided, reducing the need for manual research and minimizing errors in parts ordering.
John Melendez, owner of JDM Collision in Illinois, said he is hoping CCC Build Sheets will identify sensors that require calibration.
"If they truly are able to do this, all these outside estimate-scrubbing companies jumping on the ADAS train will not be needed," Melendez said. "That would be a big plus for the shops that do calibrations in-house as we do."
Melendez said he would follow up with Autobody News with his thoughts on CCC Build Sheets after his shop gets to use the new tool.
CCC said the key benefits of CCC Build Sheets include faster estimates, as it reduces the time spent researching trim packages and vehicle options; better parts orders, as displaying fewer incorrect parts options for the vehicle being repaired enables repairers to select the correct parts the first time; and less manual work, as providing access to VIN-specific information throughout the estimating, parts ordering and repair process reduces the time spent researching and calling suppliers for parts details and paint code information.
