On March 14, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force received keys to a newly refurbished 2018 Toyota Camry through the NABC Recycled Rides program and its partners, car donor GEICO and repairer Faulkner Collision Center in Lancaster, PA.
The recipient, Kailen Krieser, served her country on deployment to the Middle East and was decorated with the Global War on Terrorism medal and several others. She is a single mother dealing with medical issues and taking care of her young son. Krieser is relocating and has been in real need of a vehicle to make that possible and to get to her and her son’s appointments.
Faulkner Collision Center is the only fully certified BMW, Porsche, Tesla and Volvo certified repair center in Lancaster County, but its technicians can work on all makes and models. Faulkner is an I-CAR Gold Certified repair facility and was named the 2024 National Shop of the Year by BMW.
“Faulkner takes seriously our role in the community,” said April Lausch, Faulkner Collision Center manager. “Being a part of this NABC Recycled Rides vehicle donation is one of the most important and most gratifying thing our team can do.”
GEICO is the largest donor of vehicles to the NABC Recycled Rides program, having donated more than 1,000 vehicles since 2007.
NABC Recycled Rides is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the program in 2007, members of the NABC have donated more than 3,500 vehicles valued at some $51 million.
Additional partners in the presentation included LKQ, Lancaster Toyota, Advanced Remarketing Services, Cars for Charity, Copart and Enterprise.
