Maaco honored Joe Houghton, owner of Maaco West Springfield in Massachusetts, with the 2024 Tony Martino Legendary Hall of Fame award during its annual convention. Recognized for his 34 years of dedication to the brand and his unwavering service to his community, Houghton embodies the values at the core of Maaco’s mission.

The award, sponsored by Sherwin-Williams, celebrates franchisees who operate with excellence, serve as brand ambassadors and positively influence their local communities. Houghton’s contributions include refurbishing a vandalized car for a fellow veteran and organizing a winter coat drive for military families.

“I feel privileged to honor a franchisee who has been with the brand for over 30 years,” said Dave Gross, interim president of Maaco. “Joe and his wife Kris are a remarkable example of what it means to represent Maaco -- positivity, resilience and a constant drive for excellence.”

Beyond his work with Maaco, Houghton’s business was recently recognized in the Springfield Regional Chamber’s Super 60 Awards, which honors businesses strengthening the Springfield area. His contributions as a veteran and leader have solidified his shop’s legacy within the Maaco network and the local community.

“We take great pride in serving our community, and none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our amazing customers,” said Houghton. “I owe so much to my incredible managers, Ashley and Chris, whose dedication and leadership make our business what it is today.”
