Fisker Inc., transitioning from direct sales to a dealer partnership model in North America, signed a deal with Mills Auto Group, its first U.S. dealer partner.
The contract was signed during Fisker's inaugural open house event in Manhattan Beach, CA. The collaboration will see the opening of three Fisker dealer locations by Mills. Fisker will start delivering Ocean SUVs to Mills in February.
“I’m absolutely excited for this partnership, and we want to thank Fisker for its confidence in our group,” CEO Damian Mills said. “We will instill Fisker’s vision and mission into our stores on day one.”
“I’m thrilled that the Mills Auto Group has joined Fisker as our first U.S. dealer partner, and it was an honor to meet Damian Mills in person at our first open house,” said chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker. “Our pivot to the dealer partnership strategy has been moving incredibly fast. With interest expressed by over 200 dealers globally and over 100 in North American alone, I am looking forward to signing up more dealer partners and offering them a win-win-win from the relationship.”
The dealer partnership model is designed to provide no-haggle pricing, exceptional service and larger market territories for dealers. This approach aligns with Fisker's asset-light business model, facilitating the scaling of Fisker Ocean deliveries and future model productions.
Fisker's commitment to sustainability and innovation was showcased at the open house, where dealers had the opportunity to experience Fisker's product lineup, including the all-electric Ocean SUV, the Alaska pickup truck, the PEAR crossover SUV, and the Ronin super GT convertible. The company's leadership outlined plans for marketing, sales, service, technology and design, emphasizing the role of over-the-air software updates in the development of new vehicles.
The Fisker Ocean SUV, currently being delivered in the U.S., Canada and Europe, features an EPA range of up to 360 miles and the lowest published carbon footprint of any electric SUV, as it is built at a carbon-neutral facility, incorporating recycled and bio-based materials.
