Two Ford dealerships -- Pioneer Ford in Bremen, GA, and Havana Ford in Havana, FL -- have changed hands in recent transactions facilitated by DSMA (Dealer Solutions Mergers and Acquisitions), reflecting a rising trend of consolidation and strategic expansion among auto dealers in the Southeast U.S.
Pioneer Ford was bought by Austin Pugmire of Pugmire Automotive Group and is now operating as Pugmire Ford of Bremen, while Havana Ford transitioned to new ownership from former owner Ken Ball, president of the dealership. Both transactions were brokered by Bill Fields, principal M&A executive at DSMA.
These deals come amid rising acquisition momentum in the Southeast, driven by regional economic growth, limited inventory of available dealerships, and robust consumer demand.
“The Southeast continues to be incredibly active for acquisitions,” said Andy Church, vice president of DSMA’s Eastern Region. “A perfect storm of economic growth, consumer demand and a limited number of dealerships available for purchase is driving strong market demand. As a result, sellers are receiving excellent value for their businesses.”
