The 33rd VISION Hi-Tech Training & Expo, hosted by the Midwest Auto Care Alliance and held March 6-9 in Kansas City, drew an unprecedented number of attendees -- 3,632 participants from across 48 states and seven countries.
Attendees engaged in 136 dynamic sessions, accumulating more than 38,400 training hours, covering a vast range of topics from cutting-edge vehicle technology to essential business management strategies, some attracting up to 200 participants due to their high demand.
Keynote speakers like Marcus Lemonis and Brittany Hodak shared transformative strategies and insights.
Lemonis, the entrepreneur behind the hit show "The Profit," opened the general session with compelling advice on business efficiency and strategic planning. "Today’s market requires not only hard work but smarter, strategy-focused approaches," Lemonis said, offering a mix of real-world examples and innovative tactics to enhance operational efficiency.
Following Lemonis, Hodak took the stage at the Friday Power Summit Lunch, captivating the audience with her expertise in customer experience. Hodak introduced the concept of creating "Superfans," or highly engaged customers who advocate for a business, thus fostering a robust loyalty system. "Engage with your customers on a level that transforms their experience, turning satisfaction into passionate advocacy," Hodak explained.
The expo continued its streak of motivational content with Jon Dorenbos, a former NFL player turned magician, who shared his extraordinary journey of resilience and magic.
"The selected keynote speakers at VISION have a profound impact, providing not just knowledge but a renewed vigor to our attendees," said Sheri Hamilton, conference manager.
Each session was expertly woven together by Aaron O’Brien, whose vibrant emceeing maintained high energy and engagement among participants.
The expo also featured the Celebration of Independents Awards Dinner & Casino Night, where more than 500 professionals gathered to honor notable contributions to the automotive service industry, particularly celebrating the dedication of independent shop owners and technicians.
"This year’s VISION was nothing short of extraordinary,” said Travis Troy, VISION co-chair. “Seeing professionals from all over the world come together to learn, connect and grow is what makes this event so special. It’s more than just training -- it’s about being part of something bigger, a movement that continues to push the industry forward.”
An attendee shared their valuable experience: “VISION is a must for anyone in the automotive industry. The opportunity to learn from the best trainers, connect with industry leaders, and gain knowledge that directly impacts my business is invaluable. Between the training sessions, the expo, and the networking opportunities, VISION provides a complete experience that fuels our company’s growth. I’m already counting down to next year!”
