Nissan Motor Co. on March 26 showcased an array of new and refreshed models, along with next-generation technologies set to debut in the U.S. and Canada over the next two years.

With the new products, Nissan is aiming to elevate its performance, boost customer loyalty, attract new buyers, increase profitability and promote sustainable growth by offering diverse powertrain options, including hybrid, electric and advanced internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles.

Ivan Espinosa, current chief planning officer, is set to take over as CEO on April 1 from Makato Uchida, whose tenure has been marked by Nissan’s weak performance.

Espinosa said Nissan is “excited to roll out an impressive lineup that will redefine the road.”

“We are committed to investing in products that embody the very best of Nissan,” Espinosa said. “To our passionate fans and loyal owners around the world, I can assure you, this is just the beginning of an exciting journey ahead."

In 2025, the U.S. and Canada will be the first markets to launch the all-new Nissan LEAF, joining Ariya in the brand's EV portfolio.

Nissan described the third-generation LEAF as “a sleek and spacious family-friendly crossover…pairing substantial improvements in aerodynamics with a more advanced EV architecture.” It will have an NACS charging port, enabling access to the Tesla Supercharger network, and will use Nissan's modular CMF-EV platform, which debuted with the Ariya, expected to deliver significant range improvements over the previous generation.

More details on the new LEAF will be shared mid-year.

Also this year, Nissan will start selling its first plug-in hybrid in North America, a PHEV version of the current Rogue, and introduce the next generation of the Sentra and a refreshed Pathfinder and INFINITI QX60.

In 2026, production will begin on the new Rogue -- the first to offer Nissan's third-generation e-POWER hybrid powertrain in the U.S. and Canada, using a small capacity gas engine and lithium-ion battery to power an electric motor to provide up to a 15% increase in economy at high speeds compared to the current system. It will also deliver lower emissions and enhanced refinement through reduced noise and vibration.

Nissan will also offer the new Rogue with a powerful and efficient internal combustion engine.

Also in 2026, INFINITI will launch the all-new QX65 crossover coupe, a two-row alternative in the very popular mid-size crossover segment.

In late 2027, an all-new electric “adventure-focused SUV” is scheduled to begin production at Nissan's Canton, MS, plant. It will be joined in 2028 by a luxury INFINITI EV SUV. Under the recent agreement with SK On, both future models will feature U.S.-manufactured batteries.
