Cornelius Paint and Body Shop, a family-owned and operated business, has been a fixture in the Lake Norman area since its founding in 1983 as the region’s first collision repair center. The shop has provided decades of service to the community, maintaining a legacy of trust and quality workmanship.
With these acquisitions, Classic Collision continues its expansion strategy, reinforcing its position as a dominant player in the collision repair industry. The company, based in Atlanta, has been actively growing its network nationwide, integrating well-established local repair centers into its operations.
Classic Collision was founded in 1983 in Atlanta, GA. It has grown to more than 300 locations in 20 states.
It added about 50 of those shops in 2023, the second-highest total among the collision repair industry’s largest MSOs. In 2024, Classic Collision hit the 300-store mark by expanding into new markets in East Texas and Southern California and strengthening its presence in key regions like Florida, Virginia and North Carolina.
