Claim Transparency Innovations, founded in September 2022 by Robert McDorman and Brian Deorsam, has joined the Collision Industry Electronic Commerce Association (CIECA) as a corporate member to advance transparency and efficiency in collision claim management.
The company’s flagship product, Transparent Claim, is a proprietary portal designed to transfer control of collision claims from insurance carriers to body shops, offering a more transparent and streamlined process for all stakeholders.
“Transparent Claim was developed to move the control of claims from the insurance carriers into the hands of the body shop and make the entire collision claim process transparent for all parties involved,” said McDorman.
McDorman and Deorsam were introduced to CIECA through CCC Intelligent Solutions, leading them to join the organization. Their collaboration underscores the importance of standardization in the collision repair industry -- a goal both parties share.
“This enables us to communicate more efficiently with each other and share data,” Deorsam explained. “You cannot operate without one given standard. It’s like having multiple languages. People can't communicate, certainly not communicate well.”
By joining CIECA, Claim Transparency Innovations aligns itself with an organization dedicated to creating universal data standards that facilitate seamless communication across the collision repair and insurance industries.
“It is important that we have a transparent industry standard for using and sharing data,” McDorman added. “I applaud CIECA and its vision.”
