In the final two days of the Automechanika Frankfurt show, there are still a wide range of educational sessions to attend and exhibitors to visit throughout the trade fair grounds. The show, being held in Frankfurt, Germany, runs through Sept. 14.

As part of the Automechanika Lovers program, launched in September 2022, show organizers recognized 20 dedicated Automechanika Lovers who have attended more than eight of the 14 worldwide shows. The exhibiting companies were honored today at the event’s Global Stand.

In the Body & Paint Hall, an area is dedicated for classic car professionals and enthusiasts to connect with international colleagues and discuss the latest trends in digitalization, attracting new talent and a shared passion for classic cars.

Vehicles from the National Automobile Museum and Corrado Lopresto, including a 1961 Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, were on display.

Another highlight was the Rhein-Main-Klassik Rally, which debuted during Automechanika Frankfurt and was organized by marketer B&M. From Sept. 13-15, approximately 70 classic cars from the last 100+ years will embark on a 500-kilometer journey through Hessen and Rhineland-Palatinate, stopping at the exhibition grounds on Sept. 13 and 14. The event is themed “History Meets Future.”

Sustainability CourtExhibitors showcased green solutions throughout the week at the Sustainability Court.

Sustainability is a major focus at the show this year. At the Sustainability Court, exhibitors showcased green solutions from the industry, including products, materials and processes. In addition, an eco-friendly car from Dortmund University of Applied Sciences is on display. Presentations focused on sustainability included “Sustainable Vehicle Development,” “Is it more sustainable to repair a car or buy a new one?” and “Navigating the Logistics of Electric Vehicle Transport.”

Outdoors, painting professionals from 3M and SATA demonstrated practical skills in a Saicozero paint booth.

In addition to the test drives taking place at the Future Mobility Park on the trade fair grounds, there is an opportunity to build a hot rod with representatives from Schrauberblog. This involves the building, testing and painting of two electric karts. Schrauberblog’s CEO Marco ten Hagen and Managing Director Christian Cloppenburg will hold an awards ceremony Sept. 14.

The European Mobile Media Association (EMMA) German Car Sound Finale awards ceremony will also be held on the last day of the show in the outdoor exhibition area. A panel of judges will hand out awards to the vehicle with the best sound system and the most professional audio installation out of about 80 cars. Show attendees can check out the vehicles and talk to their owners.
