The Auto Care Association will host a webinar on Jan. 9 to analyze the Trump administration’s approach to trade and tariffs, focusing on their impact on U.S. industries, consumers and global supply chains.
The one-hour session, scheduled from 1–2 p.m. ET, will feature expert speakers Patricia Paoletta and Kent Bressie, both partners at HWG, who will provide in-depth insights into the administration’s trade policies. Key topics include the use of tariffs to address trade imbalances, protect domestic industries, and challenge unfair practices, as well as an evaluation of trade agreements and disputes from this era.
The webinar aims to help industry professionals understand the broader implications of these policies and prepare for future challenges.
The discussion will also explore lessons learned for businesses with international operations, especially those in the automotive aftermarket industry. Professionals involved in importing, exporting or managing global supply chains, as well as those sourcing raw materials or components internationally, are encouraged to attend.
Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the long-term effects of these trade policies on U.S. trade relations and the global economy.
