Hunter Engineering announced Subaru officially approved the use of its Ultimate ADAS® alignment and static calibration system across the automaker’s U.S. dealer and collision repair network.
With this addition, Subaru becomes the fifth OEM to approve Ultimate ADAS, joining Honda, Acura, Nissan and Infiniti. According to Hunter, more manufacturer approvals are expected in 2025, further expanding its industry footprint.
Ultimate ADAS was set to be showcased at the Subaru ABC Show in early June in Las Vegas. “It’s been exciting to partner with Subaru of America and Subaru Japan to approve Ultimate ADAS for Subaru dealers,” said Kaleb Silver, director of product management at Hunter. “Subaru has been a leader in the ADAS market for many years, and Ultimate ADAS gives their dealer and collision network access to the industry-leading ADAS calibration technology to service and document vehicles more efficiently.”
Designed to streamline static ADAS calibrations, Ultimate ADAS replaces traditional, manual layout methods — often reliant on strings, tape measures and plumb bobs — with precision laser technology. Its gimbal-mounted lasers and guided onscreen system reduce setup time by up to 70% for certain procedures, while automatically adjusting for uneven floors and validating target placement accuracy throughout the process.
The system supports more than 7,400 static ADAS procedures and now offers coverage for 19 OEMs, equating to more than 90% of vehicles currently in operation. Additionally, the solution integrates with HunterNet® 2, the company’s customer portal, to provide users with comprehensive documentation, including placement confirmation, procedural steps, and before-and-after measurements.
