MOTOR Information Systems, a Hearst company, announced the recipients of the 2024 MOTOR Scholarship for Diverse Technicians. The scholarships, awarded in partnership with the TechForce Foundation, were given to automotive students Kyle D. from Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Lisle, IL, and Brittany O. from Perry Technical Institute in Washington.
These scholarships aim to support students who demonstrate both technical skills and a commitment to advancing the automotive industry.
MOTOR is collaborating with TechForce to address the shortage of skilled technicians while promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry.

Now in its second year, the MOTOR scholarship program targets students with diverse cultural perspectives, financial needs and strong aspirations for a career in automotive technology. Through this initiative, MOTOR and TechForce are working to attract the next generation of technicians while also fostering greater inclusivity.
TechForce Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is committed to exploring career opportunities and workforce development for future automotive professionals. By partnering with MOTOR, the foundation continues its work to inspire and empower the next wave of technicians, with an emphasis on overcoming barriers to entry for underrepresented groups.
