Milwaukee Military Member Receives Vehicle from NABC Recycled Rides

Milwaukee-WI-NABC-Recycled-Rides-presentation

On July 25, a Milwaukee area military member experienced a life-changing event---the presentation of a vehicle to provide her independence and the ability to work---thanks to the National Auto Body Council (NABC) Recycled Rides® program, along with car donor American Family Insurance and repair partner Gerber Collision & Glass

The presentation was held at the Milwaukee Brewers home game. The deserving recipient was selected by University of Wisconsin Veterans Services.

The recipient was U.S. Air National Guard SrA Abygail Boyle of Madison, WI. She serves as a fire protection engineer and is also certified as a civilian emergency medical technician. Boyle balances attending classes, working as an EMT and serving in the Air National Guard. She received a 2017 Toyota Rav4, which will help her get to school and her military service job.

“American Family and Gerber have participated together in the NABC Recycled Rides program for more than 10 years,” said Tim Constien, American Family Insurance chief claims officer. “We’re proud of this partnership that provides safe, reliable vehicles to deserving recipients, including those serving our country, like Abby.”

NABC Recycled Rides is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the NABC Recycled Rides program in 2007, members of the NABC have donated more than 3,200 vehicles valued at some $42 million.

Additional partners in the NABC Recycled Rides presentation included Advanced Remarketing Services and Cars for Charity.
