The Southeast Collision Conference (SCC) is returning May 1–3 to Richmond, VA, with an expanded slate of Collision P.R.E.P. seminars designed to equip modern collision repair professionals with emerging insights, advanced repair strategies and management best practices.
Held at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, the event will kick off shortly after the national Collision Industry Conference (CIC) and feature a comprehensive two-day educational program. Built around the Professional Repairer Education Program (P.R.E.P.), this year's sessions are designed to address critical industry topics ranging from ADAS calibration and artificial intelligence to workflow optimization and customer service excellence.
“Every modern collision repairer -- no matter their position -- will receive emerging insights and valuable information, both in reparability of advanced vehicles and management for profitability and success,” according to the conference organizers.
Renowned speaker and Richmond native Mike Anderson of Collision Advice will open Friday’s education program with his presentation titled “Stay Humble, Stay Hungry.” That same day will include a Lunch & Learn OEM panel discussion, followed by breakout sessions such as “Death of the Estimator Role” by Andrew Batenhorst of Pacific BMW Collision Center and “Keeping it Kleen: The True Cost of Contamination” by Rick Selover of Garmat.
Also featured Friday are sessions on repair process streamlining by Danny Gredinburg of the Database Enhancement Gateway (DEG) and Kyle Motzkus, along with a customer service seminar led by Kaye Gitibin of GO Rentals.
Saturday’s agenda begins with dual sessions -- Lee Rush of Sherwin-Williams on “Big Money in Workshop Organization” and Steve Dawson of Hunter Engineering addressing “Taking the Blind Spots out of ADAS Calibration.” A leadership-focused Lunch & Learn with Mike Jones of Discover Leadership will tackle the topic “Change is Inevitable, but Growth is Optional.”
Later sessions include a safety inspection panel moderated by Anderson and a discussion by Taylor Moss of OEC exploring the impact of artificial intelligence in collision repair.
The conference also features a vibrant tradeshow floor showcasing vendors with innovative tools and business solutions for today’s evolving repair landscape.
