A KiaK5 recall includes about 189,000 vehicles equipped with side curtain airbags that may not deploy properly.

The 2021-2023 Kia K5 side curtain airbags can fail if they weren't correctly installed at the Kia Georgia assembly plant.

A Kia engineer was inspecting a 2021 K5 that had been involved in a crash. The engineer noticed there may have been a problem with how the driver's side curtain airbag deployed in the crash.

A ToyotaTundra truck bed cover recall involves more than 143,000 trucks equipped with optional Toyota genuine truck bed accessory tonneau covers that can detach from the trucks while driving.

Nearly 14,000 Toyota Tundra trucks are recalled in Canada.

Tundra owners will be contacted in March and asked to confirm if their trucks are equipped with the optional bed covers.

The 2022-2023 Tundra truck owners are instructed to remove the bed covers until the trucks are repaired by dealerships.

Owners will be contacted a second time once Toyota dealers are ready

Nissan Recalls Over 800K SUVs; Key Defect Can Cut Off Engine

Nissan is recalling more than 809,000 small SUVs in the U.S. and Canada because a key problem can cause the ignition to shut off while they’re being driven.

The recall covers certain Rogues from the 2014 through 2020 model years, as well as Rogue Sports from 2017 through 2022.

Nissan said the SUVs have jackknife folding keys that may not stay fully open. If driven with the key partially folded, a driver could touch the fob, inadvertently turning off the engine.

BMWis recalling more than 15,800 iX and X1 vehicles because the driver's front airbags may not have been manufactured correctly.

The recalled 2022-2023 iX xDrive40, iX xDrive50, iX M60 and 2022-2023 X1 xDrive28i vehicles need new driver's airbags.

A BMW driver may not be fully protected in a crash if the airbag deployment trajectory is wrong.

Park Outside: Stellantis Recalls Ram Trucks Due to Fire Risk

Stellantis is telling the owners of nearly 341,000 Ramdiesel trucks to park them outdoors because an electrical connector can overheat and cause a fire.

The company said Feb. 15 it’s recalling the trucks to replace the connectors after getting reports of six potentially related fires. In one case, the owner reported that a fire started after the truck’s engine was shut off.

Teslahas initiated a recall for 362,758 vehicles equipped with the company’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta system. The recall was posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) official website.

Subaru Recalling Certain 2023 Solterra SUVs for Hub Bolt Repairs

Subaru of America, Inc.on Feb. 13 announced a safety recall on select 2023 Subaru Solterra vehicles.

The issue affects 1,182 model year 2023 Subaru Solterras. These vehicles were the subject of an earlier recall requiring the replacement of original hub bolts. Subaru identified an issue with vehicles repaired at two port locations by one particular team of contractors. The teams did not properly complete the repair procedure, resulting in the potential for significantly under-torqued bolts.

Volvo Group North America has agreed to pay $130 million to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for alleged failures regarding vehicle recalls.

In a consent order with NHTSA, Volvo agreed to pay the civil penalty of $130 million in what the government called "one of the largest-ever penalties for violations of the Vehicle Safety Act."

The order follows a NHTSA investigation that allegedly found Volvo failed to properly report death and injury incidents, and failed to recall vehicles in a timely fashion.

Several Fordshifter cable bushing recalls have led to a class action lawsuit that alleges nearly 3 million vehicles are at risk of rolling away.

The Ford shifter cable bushing lawsuit was filed by New York plaintiff Sergio Diaz and Illinois plaintiff Retha Connors.

The plaintiffs do not claim their vehicles had any problems with the shifter cable bushings.

A Subarufuel pump lawsuit should allegedly be completely dismissed because the allegations are allegedly inadequate and nothing more than conclusory.

The Subaru class action lawsuit alleges the automaker waited too long to issue fuel pump recalls, didn't include all the affected vehicles, and Subaru dealers allegedly didn't know how to make the repairs.

Volkswagen ID.4 Recalled Over Potential 12V Battery Fire Risk

Volkswagenannounced a recall for the VW ID.4 due to an electrical issue.

The problem is unrelated to the ID.4’s powertrain, but it concerns the vehicle’s 12V battery. If left unrepaired, the issue could result in a battery fire.

A safety recall report from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the charging cable in rear-wheel-drive ID.4 units can come into contact with the steering column. This could result in a short circuit and potentially a fire.

The recall affects 1,042 vehicles produced for the 2022-2023 model years. AWD variants of the ID.4

Mercedes-Benz has recalled more than 134,000 vehicles because the sunroof glass may not be secure and could detach from the vehicles.

Mercedes said the bonding between the glass sunroof panel and the sliding roof frame might not meet specifications.

A recall of more than 2,100 Malibu cars has been announced because the front impact bars may not be properly welded to the front frame rails.

Subaru of America, Inc. announced a safety recall on certain 2019-2022 model year Subaru Ascent vehicles.

The ground bolt that secures the ground terminal of the Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) heater may have been improperly fastened during vehicle production. This potential condition may result in the melting of the ground terminal and surrounding components, increasing the risk of fire when the PTC heater is in operation.

CarMax Reaches Settlement Over Failure to Disclose Vehicle Recalls
