The Driven Brands collision group, which includes Abra, CARSTAR US, CARSTAR Canada and Fix Auto USA, announced it has successfully raised more than $5 million for cystic fibrosis (CF) research, care and advocacy across North America.

The journey began more than 25 years ago when CARSTAR started fundraising in Canada, following a CF diagnosis within a franchise partner's family. This personal connection to the disease galvanized the entire network, inspiring a widespread and sustained effort to support CF research and care. The diverse fundraising activities, ranging from car washes and golf tournaments to charity walks and garage sales, have collectively contributed to this achievement.

"There are many things that are unique to this network of owners, but their selflessness and willingness to give back is always what comes to mind," said Damien Reyna, COO of the U.S. collision group at Driven Brands.

“The CF Foundation is deeply grateful for the support of the Driven Brands collision group,” said Pat Feeley, senior vice president and chief development officer of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. “Their generosity will build on our work, alongside the CF community, that has helped add decades of life for people with CF. We are focused on supporting people with CF no matter where they are on their journey and pursuing a cure for all people with the disease.”

In recognition of this $5 million milestone, the U.S. collision network sponsored 10 families, providing holiday gifts to alleviate the seasonal stress on parents. The initiative resulted in more than $3,000 in donations, encompassing toys, clothing and essential household items. Meanwhile, in Canada, CARSTAR commemorated this achievement with a $5,000 donation to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

"As we hit this next milestone in our support of cystic fibrosis, our network is even more committed to continue reaching more," Reyna said.
