A local single mom determined to get her life back on track after recently living on the streets with her six-year-old son has been selected to receive a newly refurbished vehicle as part of Mission Viejo Auto Collision’s Recycled Rides Program.

Mission Viejo Auto Collision’s Recycled Rides program partners with insurance companies to refurbish and donate to individuals and families in need. State Farm Insurance donated the vehicle, which was refurbished by MVAC team members who volunteered personal time to repair the vehicles as a way to give back and serve their community.

Mission Viejo Auto Collision selected Family Promise as their charity and Family Promise chose Nancy Zavala and her son Zeke to receive the car as well as a carload of gifts for the family. Family Promise is an organization that is transforming the lives of homeless families, “Because every child deserves a home.” At present, Family Promise is helping them get on their feet so they have a stable home. The mother is employed, but it is a struggle for her to get to and from work.
