NH Body Shop Owner Spends Two Weeks in CA Fighting Wildfires

For two weeks, working 12 to 14 hours a day, 20 New Hampshire firefighters dug away brush and set backfires to contain a wildfire in the Six Rivers National Forest in northwestern California.

It was backbreaking, but rewarding work. When the crews first arrived in California, the blaze had already burned 704 acres and that would grow more than tenfold to 6,426 acres.

However, when New Hampshire firefighters left California on Wednesday, the area where they labored was in good shape, they said.
