The theme of conversation was Career Trajectory in Your 30s.
Event host Thurston Adams, Managing Director of Global Sales for Heri Automotive, stressed, "It's important to acknowledge that networking is a flex ingredient to having a successful career."
The meeting attracted more YANG members than anticipated, with attendees coming from as far as Texas to network with peers.
Adams said, "Overall, I believe the group enjoyed the atmosphere of getting to talk work while playing golf. We had a 50/50 balance of golfers and non-golfers, and it was enjoyable to watch the two [types of] golfers blend into one by the end of the evening.
"We work in a large industry, and many of us are unaware of just how large and diverse it truly is. Events like YANG's Regional Meet-Ups allow us to get out of our bubbles and meet our peer group. The aftermarket is a dynamic industry, and there are a lot of opportunities ahead for young professionals looking to kick-start their careers. Regarding our expectations, we set the bar low this year. Next year, we'll have to double it."
