Police Seek Veterinarian After Violent Clash With Auto Mechanic

Authorities say a Georgia veterinarian faces numerous charges and has fled the county after a violent confrontation with his auto mechanic. The veterinarian is considered armed and dangerous.

Jimmy Howell runs Jimmy’s Automotive. A decade ago, he began fixing cars owned by a Cherokee County veterinarian named Walton Waller. Howell describes him as a troublesome customer, prone to making erratic demands for simultaneous repairs on numerous cars.

"It was getting old. And I was trying to ease out of it. And it was like it never would go away," Howell said June 3.

Howell tried to make it go away last week by towing a half dozen or so of Dr. Waller’s cars – including his 1948 Buick – away from his shop and back to Waller’s property.
