WIN 2019 Educational Conference To Focus on ‘Navigating Tomorrow Together’

The Women’s Industry Network (WIN®) will host its 2019 Educational Conference from May 6--8 at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

 

This year’s theme is “Navigating Tomorrow Together” and will feature a long list of renowned industry speakers as well as presenters from outside the industry.

 

The conference will begin that Monday with registration, a registration reception and orientation sessions for first-time attendees. The afternoon’s sessions will include “The TIME is N.O.W. for Win,” presented by Darren Huggins, national collision director of Berkshire Hathaway Automotive, and G.B. Outlaw of T.E.A.M. Outlaw. Jessica Ekstrom, founder and CEO of Headbands of Hope, will present “That’s What She Said – Making Our Internal Dialogue Our Biggest Cheerleader.” The evening will conclude with a Welcome Reception.

 

Tuesday will begin with WIN’s annual Scholarship Walk, followed by keynote speaker Connie Dieken. After lunch, attendees will choose from three breakout sessions: “Effectively Communicating During Times of Conflict to Achieve the Results You Want” with Spring Cutsforth of VECO Experts; “Technical Challenges for a New Generation of Technicians” with Keith Schieffer, technical team leader at Universal Technical Institute; and “Change Your Mind to Change Your Results,” presented by Sheryl Driggers, owner of Universal Collision Centers. The last session of the afternoon will be “Integrating Our Past to Transcend Our Future,” a presentation delivered by Roger Wright, founder and managing director of Vector Squared, LLC.

 

Tuesday evening, WIN will host its Annual MIW and Scholarship Winners Awards Dinner and Gala where the 2019 scholarship recipients and 2019 Most Influential Women will be honored. This year’s honorees are Kathy Mello, Yen Hoang, Erica Schaefer and Judy Folk.

 

The final day of WIN’s 2019 Educational Conference will begin with an industry update, followed by a women’s panel. Richard Flint, CEO of Richard Flint International, will present “Navigating the Channels of Life and Business” before the event’s closing remarks concludes the conference.
