AASP/NJ President Jeff McDowell met with representatives from the Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) Cancer Center to present a $1,000 check. The funds were generated during the association’s recent Race Night event at Pole Position Raceway in Jersey City.
McDowell met with Natalia Montoya, Development Officer for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center at the Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, NJ.
According to McDowell, “This is one of the best parts of my job. As I have said before, many of us have been, or know someone who has been, affected by prostate cancer. Memorial Sloan Kettering does an amazing job in their treatment and search for a cure for this horrible disease, and we are honored to contribute to and help further along what MSK is doing on a daily basis.”
Focused on personalized cancer medicine and setting the stage for transformational change, MSK strives to change how the world treats cancer by seeking breakthrough discoveries in their laboratories and expanding access to care with new outpatient facilities.
Montoya stated, “As a member of MSK’s Corporate Partners for Excellence Program, AASP/NJ’s generosity lets our physician-scientists provide cancer patients with the best treatment available today, while advancing research to improve tomorrow’s outcomes. We are grateful for their partnership.”
