MWACA To Host 2018 VISION South of the Border

The newly formed Midwest Auto Care Alliance (MWACA), formerly ASA-Midwest, will host its 2018 VISION South of the Border educational conference at the all-inclusive, five-star resort Iberostar Grand Hotel Bavaro in Playa Bavaro, Dominican Republic. The conference is scheduled for Nov. 8 through Nov. 12.

The event kicks off with arrivals and a welcome reception on Thursday. On Friday morning, management training will be provided by Rick White, AMAM, of 180BIZ as he presents “How to Become a Talent Magnet.” During this session, White will take a look at the all-time low rates of unemployment, discuss the shrinking talent pool for quality technicians and advisors, and explore why the old ways of chasing and finding potential help aren’t working anymore. The course will cover the mistakes shops are making in hiring processes right now, what the top 1 percent need and want from a company to come on board and stay, and what strategies can turn a business into a talent magnet. The afternoon will be left open for attendees to explore and relax on their own.

Saturday morning’s educational session, also presented by White, will be “Coaching and Counseling for Employee Success.” White believes that every employee, including superstars, can reach higher levels of performance with the correct coaching from their manager. Practicing coaching techniques in the class, attendees will learn to improve or develop their coaching abilities, close the gaps between what they have and what they want in performance and outcomes, challenge best performers to greater levels of success, and seamlessly integrate coaching into daily interactions with their teams.
