The Montana collision industry broke records on Saturday, March 2 at the Montana Collision Repair Specialists Spring Meeting in Helena. Approximately 105 attendees came to Montana’s state capitol for this industry day, including guests from Utah, Colorado, Florida and the Idaho Auto Body Craftsman.
Mike Anderson highlighted the event with his “Parts Procurement-Best Practices” seminar. Anderson’s opening comment was, “We will thrive—not just survive.” His Industry Overview before the seminar was an eye opening collection of data documenting the changes and challenges in today’s marketplace. Throughout the day, Anderson offered solutions to meet these challenges and to “Be The Best In Your Area.” Dealership parts managers, counter people and body shop parts managers attended this meeting.
MCRS lobbyist, Drew Geiger, spoke at the MCRS Business Breakfast Meeting to bring the industry up to date on the 2013 Montana State Legislature and current legislation that may affect the industry. The morning meeting was an interactive session with the MCRS Board and members, reporting association business and encouraging discussion.
The Montana Collision Repair Specialists holds two meetings a year, offering guest speakers and good industry education.
