Local Auto Body Shops Teaming up with CR for Collision Repair Class

Local auto body shops are teaming up with College of the Redwoods Community Education in Eureka, CA, to offer the Auto Body Collision Repair Course, starting on Sept. 12. The course was developed in collaboration with Myrtle Auto Body, Quality Body Words, Fred's Body Shop, and Richard Borough from Master-Mind Alliance.

 

Students will be trained in all aspects of the auto body collision repair industry. The class will also include "externships," which are hands-on learning experiences in local auto body shops.

 

A total of seven auto body shops will participate.

 

Tracy Rice from Myrtletown Auto Body will teach the course at the CR Community Education building located on 525 D Street in Eureka.

 

The class dates are from Sept. 12 to Dec. 19 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The fee for this class is $500 and includes instruction and materials.

 

The externship dates are from Sept. 19 to Dec. 19 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to noon, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

 

There will be free informational meetings held on August 2, 16, and 30 at 6 p.m., at the CR Community Education location.
