This program, developed by ASA Northwest to improve vehicle and driving safety during the fall and winter, occurs at locations throughout WA and consists of free vehicle inspections conducted by ASA Northwest members and their technicians, as well as automotive technology students from local vocational schools. They will also replace or charge faulty exterior vehicle bulbs and headlamps at no charge, with the exception of unusual or exotic installations.
On Saturday, October 1, four units of ASA Northwest will host "Lights-On" events at a variety of locations. From 9AM until 2PM, the Pierce County unit will be conducting free vehicle safety inspections at the Grocery Outlet in Tacoma, while the Spokane unit's event will be held at the Spokane Community College, Automotive Building #18. Fred Meyer in Burien will be hosting the Sno-King unit's event from 9AM until 1PM, and during the same period, the Whatcom/Skagit unit will be participating in "Lights-On" at Bellingham High School.
Those interested in participating or acquiring more information about this community outreach program should contact ASA Northwest's president and executive director Jeff Lovell at (253) 473-6970.
