On December 9, several chapters of ASA-AZ celebrated Christmas with fun parties that gave members the chance to network and enjoy socializing with their peers in the industry.

The Tucson Chapter held a festive dinner at Hotel Tucson, while the Prescott Chapter invited all local shops and their employees to dinner at Augie’s Restaurant in Prescott Valley. The Phoenix Chapter held their Holiday Dinner at The Yard in Central Phoenix.

Luz Rubio, Executive Director of ASA-AZ, noted, “With over 60 shop owners, employees and spouses in attendance, it was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a great family-style dinner and conversation in a relaxed setting.”

As 2016 begins, Automotive Roundtables are being held at several ASA-AZ chapters, and the schedule has been established for the first quarter of 2016. Both the Tucson and Yuma Chapters will hold Roundtables on January 5, February 2 and March 1. The Phoenix West Valley Chapter’s Roundtables will take place on January 13 and March 3, with Phoenix Central’s Roundtables occurring January 20 and March 9, and the Phoenix East Valley Chapter will host Roundtables on January 27 and March 16.

Rubio stated, “These are forums to exchange ideas and best practices between ASA members. We invite members to share their knowledge and resources that can make our industry better.”

Rubio said she is also excited to announce that the Automotive Training and Expo for 2016 is scheduled for June 10-12 at the WeKoPa Conference Center in Scottsdale, AZ. It will feature mechanical, collision, service advisor and management training. Although program details will not be released until later in January, confirmed speakers include Mike Anderson, Mark Warren, Jeremy O’Neal, Calvin Higgins, Jerry Baarson, Maylan Newton, Jack Rosebro and Paul Bellows.
