Attendees had an opportunity to meet with suppliers, network with others and compare business opportunities.
The expo is tailored for those in the automotive repair industry. Everything from glass and upholstery repair, to detailing and window tinting.
But the biggest draw of this event is called the Dent Olympics. More than 200 experts are entered in the contest to see who is “the best of the best” dent remover. “Top” dent removers walk away with cash and prizes.
“It’s great for the area to be showcased this way, in that most of the attendees and exhibitors wind up making it a business vacation. The Expo is also family friendly, children are allowed into the show. In most cases, the small business community is a family affair, so what better place to bring the family, a business expense and vacation all rolled into one,” said Kevin Halewood, show director.
At the last Expo children were treated to goody bags, balloons, games and an area for them to sit and play table games or use coloring books.
“Being a family oriented industry we have included children in our show since its inception. It went over so well, that this year we are planning on expanding the area and adding some new games,” Halewood said.
The event also held a silent auction to benefit the Larry King Cardiac Foundation as they have done in past years. Past items have included a complete Air Brush system, a two night stay at the Holiday Inn Clearwater Beach, Premium Car Care Products, an Extensive Windshield Repair Training Program, Paintless Dent Repair tools and much more, this year donations continued to come into the show office right up to the event.
