According to Darla Pundt of Alamo Heights Garage, one of the event coordinators, tickets will cost $10 per person this year for adults, while kids 12 and under get in free. Tickets include four food coupons, but additional coupon books are available at 30 percent off through Sept. 17.
There will be more than 10 vendors sponsoring different food and beverage for those in attendance. Pundt said Tickets and additional food coupon books can be purchased by calling her at 210-826-4431. There are also raffle tickets for sale, she said. And there is still sponsorships available for interested businesses, a need for volunteers to work one-hour shifts during the picnic, and for people to donate desserts.
During the picnic, there is going to be children and adult basketball tournaments, bean bag toss, and horseshoe tournaments planned. In addition, kids will be able to get balloons and face painting courtesy of Daisy Bee the clown.
As usual, there will also be a silent auction with some impressive items, added Henry Maine, Maine Line Insurance and another event organizer.
