Automotive Parts Manufacturer in TN Gets $400,000 in Energy Incentives

Four years after Waupaca Foundry Inc., reopened its automotive castings plant here, the 560 employees who stamp out thousands of automotive parts every day are operating quite literally in a brighter environment.

Over the past four months, 1,016 metal halide and T12 light fixtures were replaced with brighter, and more energy-efficient LED lights. The changeover cost more than $750,000. But the new lights are projected to yield an annual energy savings of more than 4.6 million kilowatthours worth $232,385 a year.
