Boston Business Journal Corporate Citizenship Summit awarded Ray Ciccolo's Village Automotive Group as one of Massachusetts’ Top Charitable Contributors of 2014.
In order to be eligible for the annual nomination, Greater Boston companies must donate a minimum of $100,000 to local non-profits throughout the year.
Village Automotive Group, comprised of nine dealerships including Hyundai Village of Danvers and Volvo Village of Danvers, exceeded that number, donating $375,000 to Massachusetts-based charitable organizations, according to danvers.wickedlocal.com.
President and CEO Ray Ciccolo donated $50,000 to several charities, in honor of his 50th anniversary of business.
Village Automotive Group, owned by President and CEO Ray Ciccolo, is comprised of nine dealerships throughout metropolitan Boston. The flagship store, Boston Volvo Village, is one of the nation's preeminent Volvo dealers, with the largest sales volume in New England, as well as the largest Volvo Service & Parts Departments in America. As remarkable as Ciccolo’s business accomplishments have been over the past 50 years in the car business, his less recognized philanthropic endeavors have outshined them.
This year, in honor of Ray Ciccolo’s 50th anniversary in the car business, he chose to celebrate by generously donating $50,000 to several local charities.
