North Huntingdon, PA police arrested a township man who owns an auto body shop on multiple theft and deceptive business practice charges for allegedly scamming customers.

Police accused Dean Vezzani of Maple Lane, who operates Vezzani Customs, of issuing $13,000 in bad checks to an Irwin automotive supply store and taking $1,000 from a customer and failing to do any work on his vehicle. He's also accused of taking $14,509 from a customer on the promise of fixing his 1972 Corvette but not performing the work in more than two years.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 10 before District Judge Wayne Gongaware.
