Storm hits automated driving car; human grabs the wheel

Many people drove their cars to the CAR Management Briefing Seminars here, but few traveled in the same style as Ibro Muharemovic, head of advanced engineering for supplier Continental AG in North America.

Muharemovic said he drove a 2014 Chrysler 300 sedan 225 miles from Continental’s North American headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., to Traverse City 98 percent hands free. The 300 that Muharemovic was driving was set up by Continental to demonstrate its various automated driving technologies including cameras and sensors.
