Hyundai Motor Company awards first global approval to Akzo Nobel Refinishes

 Hyundai Motor Company named Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes as their first globally approved aftermarket supplier. The companies will merge competencies to develop the “Hyundai Dealership Global Body and Paint Strategy.”
 As part of this strategic initiative Akzo Nobel will supply their full range of car refinishes products to all Hyundai dealers’ body and paint departments. In addition, with the assistance of Akzo Nobel, Hyundai Motor Company an-nounced the rollout of their new Body and Paint Program.
 Chang-Seok Im, director of overseas customer service group of Hyundai Motor Company had positive comments about the program.
 “Since April of 2006 we have worked with Akzo Nobel to develop this unique program which will increase the quality, efficiency and profitability of our body and paint operations worldwide.” Im said. “Akzo Nobel was chosen because they are the global coatings leader with proven technology, excellent services, subsidiaries and sales offices in all major countries”
 Jim Rees, general manager of Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes is confident with the new partnership.
 “Hyundai Motor Company has brought a new perspective to the profitable manufacturing of automobiles. Their choice to make us their strategic global partner indicates that they would like to broaden their expertise to all facets of their operations. We are confident that we can bring the products and knowledge to help them achieve their goals.”
