APN rebate program produces sigificant results

Assured Performance Network (APN), a fast growing co-op network for independent auto body repair centers across the nation, announced the preliminary results from the first four months of its Preferred Vendor Rebate Program. The program enables qualified collision repair businesses to gain rebates on products and services they use.

Caldwell brings over 25 years of collision industry experience to his position at APN. He got his start in the family collision business in Southern California working with long-time industry leader and father, Jack Caldwell. Caldwell has had the pleasure of serving the industry in numerous capacities as Chairman of the Automotive Service Association[ASA], NACE Chairman, and as an active member in the California Autobody Association [CAA]. Caldwell has also served as a Director of the National Institute Automotive Service Excellence [ASE], Collision Industry Conference [CIC], and has actively contributed to numerous other industry entities and advisory groups.
 

From the early nineties until 2000, Caldwell was actively involved in ASA's collision division, and served as its director for three years. He was inducted into the Collision Industries Hall of Eagles (Hall of Fame) in 1997, and was named Body Shop Business Collision Repair Executive of the Year in 2000.

Caldwell explained his decision to join APN, "This is a great fit. Assured Performance Network is the vehicle that I feel will take the collision repair business industry to the next level. As a member-owned co-op, our efforts are on behalf of serious professionals that own best in class operations throughout the country. Their interests are being seriously challenged. Through APN, we can work together independently and draw from the strength of the collective group of top players."

Biggs concluded, "Kevin has proven himself to be a tireless leader that shares our common vision. He brings a perfect balance of decades of hands-on shop experience, and a life-time of overall industry knowledge and dedication."

The APN Preferred Vendor Rebate Program was launched in the spring of 2004, and introduced in May at the Assured Performance "Best Of" Conference. Already, APN Member-Partners are seeing significant results from their initial small investment.
Since its launch, participating Member-Partners of the co-op have earned rebates on average of over $1,500 in value with several between $20,000 and $30,000 in value. The results are based upon just a few participating vendors savvy enough in the earliest stages of this program to see the value of a true partnership with a co-op network of best in class shops. Some shops have received nearly 600 percent return on investment (ROI) on their initial investment.

"We take great pride in the early results of this program. This provides substantial credibility to our vision of assisting shops to leverage their collective power, giving a whole new meaning to what a co-op in the collision industry can really be," said Scott Biggs, founder and CEO of APN.

According to Biggs, APN operates as an advocate for the independent collision repair businesses that can meet minimum standards of excellence. The qualifying shops become member-partners enabling them to work together, independently through the legal structure of a co-op. All profits from APN are distributed to the Member-Partner shops on a "percentage of patronage basis."
